It’s Groundhog Day, Again

Sorry my DRAGONE-ian readers, but I have let you down.  I missed Groundhog Day.  It came and went, and I ignored it.  I don’t even know my local groundhog’s name.  But then again, I don’t know the names of my local politicians.  Or my local mail delivery person.  I’m sorry.  I’m pathetic.

But have no fear, because according to this fantastic movie that I saw a long time ago called “Groundhog Day”, every day is Groundhog Day.  I love Bill Murray, 20th Century edition.  21st Century not so much.

I feel like a groundhog.  That is, I feel like Bill Murray in Groundhog Day, where every day is the same.  I get up, go to work, come home, and go to sleep.  Lately I also blog every day.  I do other things too, but let’s pretend that I don’t.

My ex-wife often mentioned Groundhog Day as we were getting divorced.  I’m not sure why.  Oh, nevermind.  I get it now.  The same frustrating day was repeated over and over and over again.  Too bad for her because that day really sucked.  I didn’t mind so much because I kept forgetting it over and over and over again.  Well maybe I minded, but who knows now, because I don’t remember.

Groundhog Day can be a more positive experience, you know.  Its all about Buddhism.  Yin yang.  The cycle of life.  Redemption.  The zen of _________ [fill in the blank].  You must get this day right, grasshopper, before you can move on to tomorrow.

So happy Groundhog Day everyone.  Yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

DRAGONE out.

Letting the days go by
Let the water hold me down
Letting the days go by
Water flowing underground
Into the blue again
Into the silent water
Under the rocks and stones
There is water underground

Same as it ever was…
Same as it ever was…
Same as it ever was…
Same as it ever was…
Same as it ever was…
Same as it ever was…
Same as it ever was…
Same as it EVER WAS…
