I feel sorry for the guy who came up with the idea of naming hurricanes after women. He must not have had much luck with the ladies. Times have changed, and now they name hurricanes after men too. Either way, you don’t really want to get stuck in a hurricane.
Hurricanes pack a punch, for sure, but they’re such a long and drawn out storm. Tornadoes, on the other hand, they’re a whole different type of storm. Dangerous and beautiful all at once, and unpredictable as all hell. Now that it’s spring, tornado season has officially begun.
If you’re like me, then you’re drawn to tornadoes. Don’t ask me why, its just always been that way. But like my mama always said, be careful what you wish for, because it just might come true.
There are basically two types of tornadoes. The long spindly ones strike a cute pose, dance in and out of the scenery, and then poof. They’re gone. But it’s the other type of tornado that I’m really drawn to. The thick and ferocious monsters that carve a straight line through the Earth, destroying everything in their path.
Anyone who gets in the way of this type of tornado doesn’t stand a chance. It’s best to just keep your distance and admire the awesome power of the beast. You won’t have a lot of time to think, so plan for this encounter ahead of time. Let your heart skip a beat. Let the tears roll down your cheeks. But stay away. Or else you’ll be ripped into a thousand pieces.
